 The Mubea Linear Power Feed, a technologically advanced and highly versatile feeding system for structural shapes up to 60' in length.

The Linear power feed system is a CNC controlled feeding and positioning system. It will automatically feed and position lengths of structural shapes such as flat stock, angle iron, channel or "I" beams for processing. The system can be attached to a punch, saw, bender, or ironworker to facilitate the machines operation in a fully automatic mode.

The operation is simple. Programming is done on-line or off-line in the equivalent of a spreadsheet format. Actual dimensions from the part print are entered.

Once programmed, the operator has only to load the raw material and hit the start button. The linear power feed system will feed the material, and cycle the host machine.

The Mubea Linear Power Feed System comes complete with:

-Guide rail complete with tooth rack, guide shaft, and support posts

-Positioning carriage complete with A.C. Servo motor, shaft encoder, gear, cable guide and pneumatic gripper. Gripper has rotatable clamping jaws and is height and laterally adjustable.

-Manually adjustable material support rollers - 2 per 10 ft. section

-Front and rear adjustable gauge line rollers with measuring scales

-Pneumatic and electrical controls complete

-Mubea ATL modular CNC control system

 Pinney Machinery and Supply, Inc. offers a "new" CNC Control System for the Existing Linear Power Feed.

The "NEW" Control, model ATL, was designed specifically to control the Mubea Linear Power Feed, CNC Duplicator, and AT/GA Gauge Table.

The one or two axis control features simple and easy data entry directly at the machine or from the engineering office. The control has storage capacity for over 100 parts, each located by name. Absolute and Incremental coordinates in can be programmed both inch and metric with automatic tool offsets.

The graphic display shows the programmed work piece, displays simple error messages, and shows the operator the status as the piece part is being made.

The computer-controlled positioning unit is applicable to the following machine models:

KL 350*, KLH, HP 1000/760, Profi 500, MIW *, HIW **, KBLH

* = no fastening drills

** = only the older models do not have fastening drills

A subsequent installation to already delivered machines of these types is also possible.

In case of machines which do not have the required fastening drills a drawing of the drill pattern will be delivered.

In case of order the indication of the type of machine and machine number is required.

Positioning units for older MUBEA-machines as well as for other makes upon request.

Design of the computer-controlled linear positioning unit:

* Guide section with transport and measuring toothed rack as well as guide shaft for moving of the positioning carriage, including supports and flanges.

* Support rollers, height-adjustable, designed as disk rollers.

* Positioning carriage with A.C. servo motor, shaft encoder, gear and cable guide, pneumatically actuated clamping jaws, gauge line stop, adjustable via scale (in case of pushing design).

Adjustment of the clamping jaws: in the height -140 mm lateral-150 mm

* Gauge line rollers

They can be adjusted via scale in the range of the punching tool, one of the two gauge line rollers is spring-mounted.

* 1 Support roller

For the infeed side, height-adjustable

Computer-controlled linear positioning unit installed on the punch of a HIW-model. In order to be able to process sections of different sizes the support rollers are height-adjustable. The left and right gauge line rollers can be adjusted to the respective section size according to scale. Gauge line roller left: Range of adjustment from 15 mm up to 160 mm. Gauge line roller right: Range of adjustment from 15mm up to -Depending on throat of the machine. Material roller: Range of adjustment 180 mm.
