SOME HISTORY ON MUBEA IRONWORKERS


Mubea began manufacturing Mechanical Ironworkers more than 80 years ago, and has been the Quality Leader in the ironworker market. Between both mechanical and hydraulic machines there are nearly 10,000 Mubea machines in service.

DUAL OPERATOR: The MUBEA Ironworkers Models HIW and KBLH are fully Dual Cylinder Ironworkers, complete with Two (2) Foot Pedals. "You can be punching while some else is shearing."

The Hydraulic Punch Station of the HIW, KBLH, HP, KLH, and MIW series Ironworkers is complete with these features:

• Wrench less, Quick-Change punch coupling nut. Industry's most asked for feature. Change tooling in seconds, not minutes.
• Mubea continues to use common tooling. Punches and dies from older machines can be used on any new machine. A big plus for the customers that have older Mubea.
• Heavy Duty Safety Stripper. Rugged, spring mounted, and swing away. Easily adjusted to provide rigid holddown support when stripping varying thickness materials.
• Adjustable Ram, gibbed and keyed, to ensure exact alignment of punch and die.
• Gooseneck Die Holder, providing quick changeover capability to punch plates, angle iron on tight gauge lines, and channel in the flange and web.
• Enclosed stroke control, keeping the electrics out of harm's way.
• 2 Speed Hydraulic system:
• Slow speed for setup and center-spotting
• High speed for continuous operation punching

The Hydraulic Shear Section of the HIW and MIW series Ironworkers is complete with these features:

• Mubea uses an "only oil" central system for lubrication. Others use grease, which gathers dust; while oil "flows" and keeps parts clean.
• Multiple replaceable and adjustable "gibbing" locations ensure rigidity, accuracy and frictionless slide movement.
• The Angle Shear section has the largest capacity per machine series in the industry.
• The Plate Shear section is standard with (2) identical long lasting 4-edged knives.
• A separate Round and Square Bar Shear section is standard and can accommodate knives for other shapes, including I-Beams, channel, and shafting tooling.
• Only Mubea's Coper-Notcher section has an electrically interlocked safety guard.
• The Coper-Notcher section can be field fitted with optional tooling such as Mubea's exclusive Triangular "V" shaped notching tool, Pipe Notching and Coping tools, or other special application tooling.
• All replacement tooling is stocked and manufactured by Mubea in Germany.

MUBEA provides the widest variety of labor reducing accessories of any Ironworker manufacturer. Both sides of frame are already machined to accept optional tables and gauges.

• Gauging Tables up to 72" wide with quick-set drop stops eliminate the time consuming layout process
• Linear Rails up to 60' long provide an accurate and repeatable method for punching structural shapes.
• PLC and CNC controlled Gauging Tables, Linear Rails, and Custom Handling Systems make the fabrication process more profitable for MUBEA users.
